Jewish Values on Persistence – CLICK TO COMMENT

By Leah Linfield  I started high school knowing exactly two people: my brother and my sister. Other than that I had no friends and I didn’t know the name of a single classmate. Transitioning to a brand new school and brand new state was daunting to say the least. Without a say in the matter I had to leave the comfort of my home and old friends. Despite my normally introverted personality, I had to overcome my shyness and introduce myself to virtual strangers. They came to high school with their middle school cliques, friends they had since kindergarten. It took tremendous strength for me to introduce myself to these people, and I’m glad that I did.
