Jewish Values on Learning from Failure – CLICK TO COMMENT
By Daniella Babaee During freshman year I tried out for the volleyball team. I thought that I had a good chance of joining the team, even though a lot of people tried out. To my misfortune I didn’t even get first cut. Discouraged, I went home and thought I would never try out again. My mom then found me in my depressed mood. She gently explained to me to practice harder and I would succeed. That’s exactly what I did. I practiced consistently every day and grew stronger. The next year when I tried out again, I got in. I was so proud of myself. I learned an important lesson, failure is only a bump on the road to success.
