Jewish Values on Building Persistence – CLICK TO COMMENT
By Jake Bivas A very embarrassing time in my life was not long ago. When I was about 10 year old, I told myself that I wanted to start playing basketball. I told my parents and they signed me up for a community basketball league. When I played, I always wanted the ball to get passed to me. Whenever I would get the ball passed, I would panic and quickly try to pass it to someone else. I used to always do that. I thought that it was embarrassing. So, I went to practice for about a year. I went to camp that summer. I got a lot better ever since because I kept trying.
