By Adina Charnas Let’s say it’s the first day of school and you’re new to a school. This year is a good way to make friends. So, you start off looking around seeing who you can introduce yourself to. Then you see in the middle of the class a group of girls laughing, so you go over. You start to tap the shoulder of a girl, and she turns around. But before any words can come out of our mouth, she rejects you and turns around. In your mind you want to try again, but your confidence is crushed. A week later you realize to yourself, that those girls are not the kind of girls you should be with. So, the next day you come into school ready for a new start. In the corner of the room, you see two girls talking. Before you go over to them, your heart stops a second. You think of that rejection last week. Your feet start to shake and you can feel your heart beating a mile per minute. But, then you think to yourself. And you realize that, if you want to make friends you should have confidence and a strong personality. So, you try again and you see yourself again at a point that will change your life. You tap on her shoulder and she turns around, this time she greats you with a warm smile. And the next thing you know you have a great group of friends – self confidence!
