Building Character of Persistence – CLICK TO COMMENT

By Andrew Stein   On my first day at my new school I tried to make friends by being nice and playing well. In our first recess I went to play basketball with the kids in my class but they didn’t include me. So, I decided to shoot on another hoop to show them how good I was, so they would include me. When they finally did let me play, I air balled my first two shots. I was so embarrassed by the looks everyone was giving me. So, I decided to start passing instead. They saw that I was good and not selfish. I learnt from that experience that it might take time to get what you want but if you are persistent, you will eventually get it.
